Used pipe against surplus pipe.

Renewed used pipes are used for many engineer solutions along with new or surplus pipes, being strong competitors to them. Very often customer of steel pipes has problem of choice – to buy used pipe or to buy surplus/ pipe? Surplus pipe is more expensive but renewed used pipe is equal in quality to surplus pipe. If to consider this issue deeper – advantages of used pipes buying are clear.

First of all – price. Used pipe is cheaper than surplus pipe because it was used but was not stored on warehouse for several years. Secondly, renewed used pipes are highly competitive in properties to surplus/ pipes. In contrast to surplus/ pipes – used pipes are already tested by time and loads, so their strength is known. Renewal process of used pipes includes not only cleaning and before-sale preparations of steel pipe but detection and elimination of “weak” places as well. So it prevents early replacement of pipes. On the contrary, surplus pipe was not tested by real conditions so possible manufacturing defects are not detected.
